Digitizing Vietnam map with data on population, society

Spatial data system of population and development was built, developed and integrated on GIS made in Vietnam software, with full administrative data updated regularly, quickly and accurately.

The information provided on the Spatial data system of population and development is the data of the last 5 years (2016-2020). These data will be continuously updated every year to provide policy makers and researchers with important data on population and geographical position of residents in relation to economic, social and environmental issues.

When accessing this website, users can observe the information presented in many different map layers, from which they can analyze and evaluate the correlational impacts between population and economy- society. The system is multi-platform supported. Users can also export data as Excel tables and charts to support in-depth research and analysis.

According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, the web portal of spatial data system of population and development is also connected to the Disaster Monitoring System of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. This system is also integrated with medical facilities data, thereby creating a useful information network for emergency response to natural disasters.

In addition, the Spatial data system of population and development also provides in digitized form many other important data such as area, GDP per capita… In the coming time, the General Statistics Office of Vietnam will continue to continuously update data related to businesses, business and administrative units, individual production and business, religion, belief and economic census data in 2021.
